Nattadis workshop
Kinta's glass is produced at a family business specializing in handmade glass near Bangkok, Thailand. The family founded the workshop more than 40 years ago. It has about 120 employees, many with a long track record and some of them have been working there since the beginning.
The workshop has a pleasant setting, including a small temple for the employees. Now the third generation, including Nattadis, is working on a good future for the family business. It is a pleasure to work with Nattadis and his family, they are very well organized and experienced. Fair trade is a matter of course for both of us.

Production
Good working conditions and the fair trade principle are self-evident in Nattadis workshop. Employees enjoy working here and have often been employed for a long time, sometimes even more than 25 years. The glass is produced by hand by experienced glass masters, resulting in beautiful and sustainable glass products.

Craftsmanship is central to Nattadis family business. The craftsmen have built up technical expertise in materials and production techniques for years, using very exclusive and personal techniques.
Making the glass products requires a lot of power, time and heat. It takes twelve work stages, 1500°C heat and fifteen hours to guide the glass through all stages of production, from raw materials to final products.
The elegant design and the wavy pattern are created by using a mold. Real handicraft, which makes the Amnis glass collection unique and the thickness can vary slightly.
