Kinta’s ceramics are for 100% made from local raw materials. The clay is found in the north of Vietnam. All our food safe glazings are also obtained from local raw materials. They are baked at a high temperature (1250℃ ).
Kinta’s ceramics collection is made in an old pottery which has been owned by one family for eight generations. It is situated in Bat Trang, a village in the north of the country that has a thousand year old tradition of making pottery. The company thinks a pleasant working environment for its forty employees is essential. They work according to fair trade principles, based on the idea that good work conditions stimulate the employees and enable them to make full use of their talents. The result: strikingly beautiful handmade products.
Kinta’s ceramics is a sophisticated collection of table accessories, characterised by a sleek look which combines beautifully with Kinta’s wood collection. Everything has been developed especially for and by Kinta.
The ceramics are dishwasher and microwave safe. Warning: when a cup gets a crack, it is no longer resistant to boiling water. You can test the soundness by gently tapping the product with your nail or ring. When there is an (invisible) crack, it sounds different.
